Hi all
This is my first post and I'm probably going to ask a question that's been done to death before - so I apologise in advance.
I've just bought my first MIG welder (Clarke 135TE) to aid in the making of parts for my 4" Burrell traction engine. I'm wanting to fit a bigger bottle to start with and already have 'Adams Gas' bottles in the workshop. On looking at their website they do two for mig welding. 20% co2/argon mix and a 5% co2/argon mix. I'm mainly going to be welding mild steel so which would people recommend, the 20% or the 5%?
I'm also going to need to adapt the welder to take the bigger bottle so is this the right thing I need? - http://www.weldequip.com/argonmix-conversion-kit-se.htm
Thanks in advance for any advise.
