Which clamp meter

an experience at work today shows I really need a clamp meter for measuring ac current on pump motors and stuff. Probably 50 amps max. Don’t want to spend a fortune but want something decent that I can trust. Any suggestions please?

The Uni-T brand aren't bad. The UT201 is OK (Maplins had them), whilst the UT210E also does DC current on the clamp, which can be very useful.

RS pro would be my choice, if you can’t stretch to a fluke.

I’ve had some multimeters of theirs in the past (before it was branded RS pro but it seems to be the same gear) and it was very good

make sure you get one that does inrush current and also does dc current as well . get the best you can afford . I use fluke meters but not cheap

Thanks for the replies. I’ll see what deals I can find. Not sure I can stretch to fluke though!
