Hello, change up to Argon/CO2 mix. Plenty of SGS distributors in and around both places.
I don't think that's correct mate. SGS definitely do a rent free deal through some motor factor outlets. Members on here have them. The governor is on here and could not be better to deal with. Any funny business with deposits would soon come out in the wash - try a different outlet, or ask Agautosport on here for the details first hand.Cost is a bit higher plus you have to pay rent for the bottle and once returned they only give you 50% of the entire bottle deposit.
I can't recall anyone on here ever regretting the cost of upgrading from CO2 to a mix gas.Cost is a bit higher plus you have to pay rent for the bottle and once returned they only give you 50% of the entire bottle deposit.
Restocking charge,or what they like to call it,what BSHobbyweld I think deduct £10.
I assume people use 15% mix. What the cost of a 20 & 30l bottle? I do not see any price on the website. There is no rental, you pay the cylinder deposit, buy the gas and that is all. When it is empty, take it back, swap cylinders and just pay for the gas.
From the SGS website
What will it cost?
Our cylinders all have a fully refundable deposit which is paid on the first cylinder purchased and will be reimbursed in full if the cylinder is no longer required and surrendered. As all of our cylinders are sold through a distributor network, you must contact a distributor for full pricing and availability. These can be found in a list view or map view.
Bottles aren’t refilled, they are exchanged
you have to take your bottle to the agent that deals with who ever filled it originally
its the biggest misnomer on the forum that bottles are refilled
What @Parm means is you don't take an empty cylinder in, have it refilled and take the same cylinder away. You take an empty in and they exchange it for a full one.Errrr! I own all my 4 cylinders out right and my local steel supplier gets them refilled in Great Yarmouth.
