where to install the 3 stage filter for air fed?

Hi lads,

I am going through my setup at the moment, and I am wondering where should I install the 3 stage filter for the air feed mask?

Basically I have the compressor in one room beside the garage, then i have copper pipe leaving the compressor to go in the garage, about 7 m of copper pipe, and then a air filter.

So I wonder should I install the 3 stage just after the air filter or it should not be in the garage, because it should not be contaminate by the iso (I will be spraying in the garage)?

Hi fly, it's only getting air through from the supply, and to my mind the closer to the mask the better as more krap from the supply side will get filtered out. So mine lives in the spray room, the comp is in a separate building same as yours. The copper & drop legs do a fine job of taking out the cloud juice.
I have a reg/filter just before the 3-pack, only problem with that is the gauge lens gets clouded with overspray. Polishes off no bother though (don't use thinners, eats polycarb).

And what are you using for the air line then ? As I suppose we what something which will be good for my breading.

I have a silicone free 10m air line, is that right?

Does all air fed mask have an extra filter on then?

You want the 3 stage filter as far away from the compressor as possible to give any moisture time to condence so the filter can catch it. I just hang a piece of plastic sheet over the filters/gauge to stop any overspray

I've got copper and rubber air hoses, a half-decent Draper I think it is, branded not cheapo anyway. Not for the air quality so much, but the cheapo's don't last so well.

Not sure about all masks & filters, but my one has, I suppose it's insurance that the hose & air from 3-pack to belt is clean. Many filters eh. It must be cleaner than the outside air after all that lot...
