Where to get rubber rod/bar for trailer suspension?

Afternoon all, Does anyone know where I can get some rubber rod around 25mm diameter at a decent price?
Its for the torsion type suspension on my trailer. When I made the trailer I went to alot of trouble using the best materials/ parts so it would last me out as the last one me and my dad made only lasted 30 years so this one was made extra strong and even galvanised.
Despite it being twin axle and each unit being rated at 750kg all four units are lower than they should be after only 3 years of use and the trailer is only 6ft x 4ft!
So I need a source of the rubber to enable me to rebuild the units.

Thanks for the replies so far some useful info. I have a 20 ton press in my garage so should have enough muscle to get them back in.
I originally got the suspension units from a small company in shefield near the Bramall lane football ground. They are well made with decent hubs but the bearing were made of toffee and dint last five mins. This was no problem to sort but the sinking rubber is a pain in the bum.
I visited the place in Sheffield a couple of weeks ago hoping to get some more rod but the place has shut down.
I would rather repair the units rather than replace as another set of units will probably have a different mounting hole pattern which would mean re drilling or re welding the trailer chassis (galvanised).
