That would probably be ok for the protyping. Don't suppose you'd have some plate to go with it?
What sort of cost are we looking at?

Cannyou roll/get a piece rolled to form a tube?
I had thought about that and it initially seemed like the best idea.
But I don't have a roller and it seems anything that can roll 2mm stainless is upwards of £2k so a non starter as far as buying the tooling to do it.
Berkley list pipe big enough.

We just had a few 6m lengths of 316L in 254 x 2mm wall delivered for a job we're on with; I could find out where it came from if that's any help? There is actually a scrap length of the same stuff lying around that we planned to use for repairs until the new stuff was insisted on, I don't know what's going to happen to that (but can guess that it will have to be chopped up to make it fit a skip - or my van ;o))
Only real problem is, it's nowhere near Exeter... (though it is on the south coast).

Sorry, I forgot about this! When I asked the question I was told I'd have to wait and see what, if any, is left of it at the end of the project (expected end March)... so if you need some in a hurry you may be better off going elsewhere.
