Where to get cheap metal to practice mig welding

as the title says, im looking for places to get cheap or free metal to practice mig welding, i have a qulifaction in welding, but would just like to get more practice and spend some free time doing it as i enjoy it,
if anyone knows anywhere that would give or sell me some off cuts of metal or anywhere to get cheap metal as close to LETCHWORTH the better that would be very handy to know

google fabricators in letchworth then pop down and raid their scrap bin,dont forget a few bob for the tea fund

any garage have bins full of old exhausts come and take them away !! if you can weld them you can weld anything.

Scrap is still at a low. Anyone could deplete my pile for nowt - it's not worth me taking it and I don't create enough for someone to have a contract - I could get travel money for it that's about it with half a day gone.

or beat your scrap man and pick metal beds up ands cut them up they are thin though and can burn through in no time you may be lucky and get hold of some good metal as well ive done this for practice on different types of metal

I went to local garage and got bits and pieces from their scrap to practice on , bought one of theses off ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXHAUST-P...963223?hash=item2a6d18b917:g:MtEAAOSwq7JUEe7U and messed about joining two pieces of exhaust together , fun and a great way to practice

scrap man is also a good source as stated , scrap is not worth much at the minute and they will keep you stuff to mess about with for just a few quid especialy if you give them the stuff you have welded to death after you finish...lol
