Or, if you need more and have a lathe, buy a tap like this and make them https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/28475783...TTmAddvu1hkyQ5kvPefPlZE1kz|tkp:Bk9SR4C0w-upYgOn small quantities of oddball stuff like this you are probably better off lubing up and taking the pain.

If you can find a standard size 9 x 1.25mm nut, file it or get someone to mill it down to 14mm A/F's.Thank you all. I've tried a few scooter places, all out of stock. I will try the one mentioned. Plus Abbott.
Citroen liked to place bolts very close to another part, any bigger than 14mm across the flats and the nuts can't be tightened.
A grade 8.8 bolt should really be matched with a grade 8 nut. This probably means something a bit better than 'ordinary' mild steel. (Maybe something like EN8 ??)If a bolt is 8.8, does that also apply to the nut? If it does, is mild steel suitable or do I need a particular type of steel?
Hello, I have a lathe and milling machine. I can drill and tap 14mm hex bar.

I've tried all the suppliers above, some don't stock, other stock only half nuts.
One company said they couldn't help as their minimum charge was £20. And? What difference does that make. They never did say if they stock them. Never turn down money!
I have always thought they sourced snd supplied only.
Machine Capabilities
In our factory, we have a number of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines, both fixed head and sliding head lathes. These were purchased brand new from the machine manufacturers.
