I can't seem to work out why my Jag (4.0 SC V8) has a hot start issue and I'm not sure where to look now.
Starts fine first thing in the morning, starts ok if it's cold outside, starts even better if the bonnets been left open for a little while.
But if the engine is hot, I have to crank it over a few seconds, let off then crank it over again and it fires right up and runs perfect (no codes)
Definitely seems to be temperature related.
Things I've done,
Fuel pressure is fine
Fuel pump no.2 was dead so I replaced both
Oil on 2 spark plug wrlls so I replaced the gasket and the coil packs
Fuel filter is new
Spark plugs were new 2k miles ago
Ideas
(Petrols are new to me)
