Where do I get spares

Hi folks, new to the forum so be kind. I bought an Eastwood Mig 175 a while ago from Frost, the shroud has come apart and I need to buy a new one. Problem is that Frost do not keep spares for this machine and are not particularly helpful.
Has anyone got ideas where (in Europe if necessary) I can source suitable tips and shrouds?

How is the Eastwood Mig 175 and in particular the spool gun for aluminium welding? Is it any good?

BTW I wonder if you can confirm what input voltage frequency is the mig rated for. Is it 50Hz or 60Hz? I have been searching around and was going to get a Hobart Handler 190 before I realized the voltage frequency will be an issue if the voltage supply is 50Hz as most US welders are rated 60Hz. I am just curious if Frost is selling a 50Hz machine or is it the same as the US version which is 60Hz. Really appreciate some answers as I am planning on getting this unit as well. Thanks mate.

I had similar concerns when I bought an Electrostatic Powder Coating Gun from Eastwood, as it was there were no problems but whether the 10hz difference will affect a MIG I am unsure.

Hi Wendel,

I had a quick look at Eastwood website again and noticed their spec is 50/60Hz at 210-240V. So all is good.

I had a Miller rep informed me that the difference with the frequency will caused unstable arc and over heating.

Anyway I jumped in and ordered the mig 175 from Amazon. Since I am far from the supplier I am praying to God it will be fine and working when it gets to me. Otherwise its going to be a very heavy paper weight.

Will report back once the welder arrived and tested.

I also had the same concerns when I shipped my Clarke TM160 to the Philippines where the frequency is also 60hz. Around about a year later and fairly regular use, no issues as yet.
Just as a by the way, I spoke to Oxford technical staff prior to buying my machine (didn't buy an Oxford, overkill for my meagre skills); and they replied that they send theirs all over the world and don't have any problems.

I am after a mig with spool gun for aluminium and eastwood fit the bill perfectly.
