I need to get 6 or 8 30" lengths of say 3/4" 2mm wall steel tube tapered for about 6 inches each end to around 1/2", they are for girder front forks, I have heard of it being done using a mechanical hammer and taper formers, anyone got any ideas? home built aircraft?
I have done it by slitting out a narrow V, then using jubilee clips to close it up and welding the joint,
not one of mine but looks nice, may use that style of tank as it was offered in 1911,

I was going to get some lengths of tube done to make some copies of webb forks.
That would be 7/8"OD tube tapered to 5/8"OD. Plain diam bit for the bottom bracket bit[yoke?]
tapered down to top and axle plate.
A bit of googling and I found rotary swaging. I found quite a few places doing rotary swaging and
the fork legs were within their capacity[shoudl I say they did that small]. I also found ytube videos of it
being done.
