Well so far, I've been here for a month and I'm enjoying the fresh change of lifestyle, and nothing jumps out or tries to kill me, or bite or sting... I'm in the more 'tame' part of the land down under, if there's such a place..
Yes I was this close to the 'Roo as the picture shows.. They're not very timid of people.. especially if you have food on you.
Amazed at how different things are done over here compared to back in the U.K.
Cars, much bigger, and if its not a Japanese hatchback, its powered by a straight six, V6 or V8 motor, most cars are around the 3.0 mark and bigger.
Beer is bought in either bottles or 'stubbies' no pint cans!
I walked into a bar and asked for a pint and the girl behind the counter looked at me as if I were talking chinese.... yep.. they dont serve pints here... small (1/2 pint) is called a 'pot' whilst a pint or thereabouts is called a 'scooner'...
The weather has never been cooler than 17 degrees, and i'm finding the recent 33 degrees comfortable also, so I'm getting acclimatised.
