I find a Waterpik flosser makes your teeth feel much cleaner. It's getting in the habit of using it that's the issue. It is a bit of a faff.

The best 'getting older' investment I've made in a while; dentist and hygienist have both a massive improvement in gum health.

I don't seem to find it easy to engage in banter with either sex when they are in their 20's. Everything has changed so fast over the last ~30 years and they just seem like they are from another planet.

I think most people that age are staring into their phone most of the time nowadays, the ‘banter’ is done by sending stuff back and forth, via phone, Instagram, Thick Tok, Twitter etc.

Or maybe we've just got older.

I'm pretty sure that our parents and grandparents didn't understand our banter, fashion, taste in music etc when we were kids, just as we now don't understand today's youth.

I work with today's youth (19-25ish) and can conform 100% that the banter between them is just as fierce as it was when I was that age. But at the same time, they don't banter and joke around to the same level with me, because I'm older than most of their parents.

Our "Woke c**p" of today is your parents, "What do the beetles think they look like with that long hair" or Elvis' overly sexual leg movements being disgusting.

my doctor is youngish . went in other month and she is telling me i shouldnt be drinking 3 cans of lager a night and do exercise .. ffs im flogged at work all day up and down stairs and ladders and not over weight. the size of her i felt like saying to her you need talk eat less pies and more exercise
