We are talking a long time ago, I had the XK 120 when I was 19 years old in 1963, and the XK150 when when I was 22years old, I had paid £90-00 for the 120 and £400-00 for the 150, Before those two I had a Jaguar Mk V11, that thing was huge, Photos taken in Thirsk, Myself and my girl friend before she became bride number one, Takes a bit of believing but I sold the XK150 to buy an engagement ring, ( How daft was that)

I could have bought a 64 coupe back in 72, but didn't want the obvious rust repair probs. In 73(?) I was offered a demo V12 E type by a Jag agent who was a customer, would have knocked a third off the price. I probably dodged a lot of grief unless I had put it in a barn untll now. Local guy had an XJ12 then. Rarely on 12, usually on 10. But, the local Estate Agent (Hiss,Boo) had a Ferrari 275GTB4. Sounded like a bag of nails and missfired all over. Looked like rubbish and a friend tried to buy it off him. No go. Such was life in Diss in the early 70s

Found my first mobile phone ( 4500x motorola ) buried under a load of junk, I got this around 1986 and it cost about £1400 with the contract . Makes my current phone thats a bit of a lump look very small

I bought one a couple of years ago here. €50. New electrics for the spark, but tyres shot. Still on the 'todolist' Must dust it off..

Ye of little faith , its 100% complete, the heel choppers are buried in the shavings. Its been in there for many years but still turns over, will get it back to the cave and see if I can get it fired up.

I've got the Atco version.

I stupidly tried to use it for cutting bracken down the side of a steep hill, we only stopped when we bounced off the stock fencing at the bottom!

I was using my Merry "sickle mower" to cut the roadside outside the garden on Sunday. Council haven't cut the roadside at all this year. Must admit I've only done my bit twice.

seems to be missing the top cover clutch and chains was supposed to run in oil

Was thinking this today when waiting for the crane driver to unload the truck at the scrappy. As kids we would have been drooling at the prospect of getting our hands on this lot thrown into one corner.

As a bigger kid I would have loved an oil drainer rather than a bucket.



A genny that looks like new one of the guys that works there pulled out of the pile.

was working at a guys house and he said do you want a mountain bike. not realy bothered as it was in good nick and thought he would want too much for it its only going down the tip if you don't want it ohh ok il have it its a gudun mine was rusty and needed new tires so now scrapped
