My vw uses the same pads,
From ecp, never tried the pagid (cos price)
Brembo have a good amount of grab and fade resistance but squeal all the time, bosch fine but didn't last long.
Best I have found so far are ferrodo from the local factors, no issues and £38 I think
So firstly look at offers from Carparts4less which is basically a sometimes cheaper version of EuroCarParts (they are the same firm)
You even pick up the stuff from ECP !
If you are not in a rush (took 3 or 4 days) I would look at ebay "Parts in motion" I recently bought Brembo stuff from them at way cheaper than i could get
anywhere else !
Hey you had more luck than what I did with the Range Rover.
In removing the MacPhearson strut I popped the cv out of the diff. Could I push it back in? Not a bloody hope. Made a special pile of wood to support the hub assembly to keep it all in line, whack it with a hammer still no luck. Ended up deciding to strip it all down to blast and paint the hub since I couldn't get it in. Special tools made to wind out the drive shaft, new 3/4" tools purchased to deal with the 450Nm hub nut or whatever it was.
Exploded the wheel bearing out on a neighbours press after the special tool and 10t puller failed to get it out. Blasted and painted the hub, pressed in new bearing. Went to press in the drive hub, first little pump of the handle, nope not straight. Gentle tap with a rubber mallet and it comes back out, along with the SS dust shield on the bearing. couldn't get it back on so new bearing to replace old one. Hub pressed in.
Right now let's deal with this expletives of a drive shaft. Damn thing slid straight in with no effort
