Have now doen some cleaning back and a bit of red oxiding until i get my gas and wire sorted.
I now have this inreadiness to commence arch cut outs etc.
Any help, suggestions etc gratefully received.

Right guys inspiration time please, Ive donr nothing since taking interior our and found what I expected rust between floor and inner sills, now I dont want to touch that until ive sorted this arch.
Should i cut the whole outer arch out to see how bad inner arch is and to aide repair then rebuild outer arch off the car then reweld back?
Dont want to do a half arsed job like was done before.

hi sounds like it maybe worth taking the whole arch away to see what is behind mayb , only way to judge is look at the amout of rust on the rest of the car and take it from there, only other way maybe to remove a small section and try to peer in with a good torch ,did that with my merc 190 and was ok . if u remove the whole thing at least u know it is done right if u intend to keep the car in the long term hope it goes ok c

at the rate you are working starting on 23-09-2010 by the time you get the wheel arch done the rest of the car will have rotted away

Have you kept the arch you cut out?
Just clean it up, weld in the piece that's missing and weld it back in place once you have completed the inner.
Rot does seem to be confined to that one area at the rear, and on the face of it doesn't look overly complicated to rectify.
I'll pop back in a year or two to admire your progress...

I stripped all mine down and had minimal storage
luckily for me though I can do everything needed myself, you've just got to have the confidence where abouts are you based? If your not too far from me I could always give you hand if need be
