Ace, I've got the same one tooSame here. I've got an Estwing 16oz claw hammer with vinyl grip that I've had for about 20 years. It's looking a bit grubby now but it's still as solid as when it was first bought.
At £223 on amazon it needs to be ....lol
What type is it? I've had a gander on ebay but there's as many different types as there are days of the week.
Interesting ....what main uses do you put mag drills to?My Mag Drills, but an old 3/8 snap on ratchet comes a close second
And a nice price to go with it..have found a couple of them..nice thoe...Gold plated too!![]()
a lot of roof construction drilling into RSJ ect...plus a lot of workshop stuff putting 20mm plus holes into plate and the likes.Interesting ....what main uses do you put mag drills to?
a snap on ratchet magnetic screwdriver inter changeable tips had it over 40 years now still going strong
Knipex Cobra adjustable pliers. Well made tool and pleasure to use.
Gedore 200mm bolt cutters, had em years and use them almost daily yet they are as good as they always were. 1 hand operation straight through a 6mm bolt, I use them for cutting everything from mig/Tig wire, nails , cables, bolts, hose clips yet they never go dull. Worth 3 times there price tag IMO.
Me neither I hate using cheap nasty chocolate metal to do a job. It's actually saved me a fortune in time and frustration buying my favourite brands in tools.Good hand tools usually are. I adopt the policy that anything I use everyday needs to be good, I'll make savings on occasional use kit but I can't cope with the irritation of tools that just barely do the job if I have to use them too often.
It's getting harder to get "real"good brands now as good brand names are becoming Chinese in disguise like vice grips and record to name but a few.Me neither I hate using cheap nasty chocolate metal to do a job. A genuine USA made vise grips was the best out there and walked all over the "mole grips"To be fair even a genuine Vice Grip was a fairly cheaply made bit of kit. I've had some new ones recently and the quality seems just the same as always.

plus a genuine hardend jaw teeth that lasted and stayed sharp..i have 2 sets and ide never partI agree, but they are still a pressed steel cheaply manufactured tool. I do like the knurling in the jaw tips though and the nice sharp edges, you can grip stuff really well even when you can barely get on the edge of it.
