I have a welding robotic arm stashed away awaiting 'round tuits' - and plan to set it up holding my plasma cutter and use it in two dimensions for cutting plate. Back burner project waiting for several other ones to be completed.

Why not make it 3D, everyone will have forgotten or forgiven by the time you get around to building it 2axis
