I just looked up the Makita 800c, its the same new style collets as my Fakita, some similarities to ER collets, but different, should grip much better.
But interesting that the new Makita's (XGT 40v) have the old style collet.
Which are very different to the ones in my new Makita trim router that arrived today, I dont imagine the 8mm will grip well as its only about 5mm long! Lucky I dont have any 8mm router bits.
Anyway, the GD0602 uses old style collets, theres 3mm, 1/8", 6mm and 1/4".
Bosch specifically, they played a significant part with lobbying the EU/EC to change laws for their own profit, which were forced upon us, before the time of brexit etc..
Germany in general, similar reasons. I do wonder if DHL's incompetence is state sponsered sabotage..
@Dapph2 yes just observe the cutters maximum speed, have the cutter fully inserted - the more it sticks out, the more runout and stress on the bearings. How long are yours!?
Shop-apt is a good place to get them.
Their alu-cut ones are particually good on aluminium.
