Whats this Hydrovane worth

Does anyone know what this machine would cost new,and any other info like cfm output?

Hydrovane 501 it says in the white part but that is all i know,sorry for being so vague but thats all i know.

I did a Google search but i didn't find one the same as this.

ISTR looking at one of these a while ago. 3phase, around 28cfm.

Take that with a large pinch of salt though

Thats a single phase and it looks like the 1.1Kw version which would be about 4 CFM.
If it's the 2.2 Kw version then it would be 8 CFM.
Value in the region of £300 to £500 in that condition.
Excellent compressor, but they need to have regular oil changes even if they don't do the service hours and, they like to run at their full operating temperature which is actually quite high. This is so condensate in the oil is evaporated off.

thats 3 phase and its larger than a 3 hp motor id lay money on it it would be capacitor start single phase the conection box isnt big enough to acomodate them .

If you look at the wire where the plug has been removed it has 4 wires,does that mean it's 3 phase with no neutral?

It could be a 3 phase, but it's still no bigger than 2.2 Kw, so about 3hp. They can be swapped to a single phase motor, easy peasy.

but would the price warant it. then shelling out on a new motor and buying it in the 1st place for a pittly 4.1cfm

we have 3 phase at my mates workshop.
But why does it only put out 4cfm,like you say it's not very impressive with that output.
When my mate showed me the photo and asked me to see what i could find out i thought that looks like a proper tool,but when i googled it the machines that were simalar said about 4 cfm and i thought thats not up to much?

Hydrovanes best features are low noise and comtinuous rating.

Yes, basically it has a 100% duty cycle.

Thats a 3 phase 501PURS 1.1kw (1.5hp) rated at 4cfm at 10bar (5.2cfm at 7bar).
Receiver will be 50ltr capacity.

Am i right in thinking this part is for taking the water out of the air??

If so is it ok to use this compressor without that bit??

that's a fridge dryer if you plan to spray much and you can get that bit as well! but its not needed to run the compressor
