What's this 'Art' worth do you think??

So much modern art is 'Emperor's new clothes' isn't it? That bolt thing reminds me of all those little figures people used to make out of nuts and bolts. You still see them in shops occasionally. I don't know why that is worth £300 and they are worth £4. Presumably because it is art not a craft project.

Sometimes in branches of Game or similar stores, they will have a giant Predator or Alien or similar figure made of scrap, bolts etc. ... those are seriously impressive.

I was dragged round the Turner gallery in Margate, a manakin wearing a track suit sprayed silver, a mfi sideboard with a shoe on it, a desk with paint poured over it, and I was stopped from taking a picture of a big blob of metal with a jam jar lid super glued on top by one of the staff saying I need permission of the artist !

You don't need permission to take a picture of the contents of a skip?

I know what you mean there.
I do like going to art galleries, I usually zoom round and if I am lucky something will stop me in my tracks because I like rather than because it annoys me.

It is obviously not just me then. I really do not see the 'art' in any of them, particularly when they appear to be odd bits thrown together and given a title.

I cannot even remember the title, and I do not intend wasting more time finding it, but 'a baseball thrown through the gallery window-dimensions variable' no s**t Sherlock.

Not brown nosing in any way but our man Chunkolini can have my money...........if I had any.

Only artists can sell such sh**e but the problem is how do get people to see you as an artist and not an untalented waste of oxygen selling jars of faeces and with marbles mixed in.

I think that was 2 fire extinguishers and an old galv water tank into a TV cabinet.

That was a Transit fibreglass roof! He's very rough but entertaining at least.
