Yesterday my cousin gave me this weird 1/2" drive ratchet thing to put in his toolbox, apparently it's a ratchet head for a breaker bar, it has about 24 very loud clicks per rev so it must be a very strong mechanism inside. I asked him what the point in it was and why you wouldn't use a regular ratchet and he said that he only really bought it because it was reduced from £150 to £80 (and he agrees that it was a pretty much pointless purchase).
Nah, torque multipliers have a "foot" to stop the body twisting and they're much bigger. This is what is is:That would be a torque multiplier
They are very handy bits of kit and so much lighter than dragging the Hytorc gear out to nip up one or two bolts.Norbar multipliers are awesome. Our pneumatic ones only operated at less than 90psi. I have seen one break a 3" square without raising a sweat. The big ones. So quiet and smooth but power to spare
Ooh, what's that, sounds nifty?Hytorc gear
