Cyclists pay tax too, just not road tax, which is fine because road tax doesn't pay for roads, just as fuel duty doesn't pay for oil refineries and excise doesn't build distilleries.

The traffic in London is so bad because there's too much of it, not because a few roads have been painted blue.

The non cycling pay tax as well + Road tax, and I can see the road tax does not all go on roads
Refineries and distillerys are private undertakings, unlike roads.
Used to time trial for years with Somerset Road Club so not anti

trouble is that whatever goes on in London does seem to have a knock on effect for the rest of us , no matter how far away we are ,,, recent highway code changes spring to mind ,,, they may be great in the city , out here in the sticks its total madness .

Maker It's not the blue lanes as such but the completely blocked roads you now can't drive down causing utter Kayos sorry chaos in some areas.
