It's definitely psychological. You'd eaten prawns before you ever saw or held a live one, so it's always been "food" first, and "Horrible looking beast from the sea" second, whereas insects are already "Creepy things in damp sheds", so it's hard to go from that to "food". I've never (Knowingly) eaten insects, and I'm not too keen on the idea, but if I ever saw someone selling them as food, I'd probably try it tbh, they're probably quite nice.


As for eggs, they're just eggs. Period.
