Near enough the same as porridge and just as tasteless. A normal portion size is probably a 3rd of that.
Its mostly energy, and as a 38yr old man with a belly, energy is not something I need to focus on - I get enough from beer![]()
B vitamins, some minerals and fat free!Beer is good - I been drinking real ale of late - convinced myself it has some good food groups in it...

The trouble with beer is all the sugar in it, that's why I insist on only drinking the stronger ales.
as more of the sugar has been turned to alcohol![]()

^ that chart relates to beer not Real Ale.
@premmington
Don't like wine or Lager
Real ale here unless it's not available, then I'd have a Stella but that gonna have to change since they made it only 4.5% just doesn't taste the same. Only time I drink cider is in a Nuclear Brown (Diamond White and Newcastle Brown).
Stella, also known as “wife beater” due to it being liked by the violent crowd.Pilnser standard in 5.2% ABV
Not sure Stella was ever that in the UK...? (don't often drink it)
Quote ex google
"Research has shown that moderate ale consumption may also protect against many other conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis, dementia, Parkinson's disease and gallstones."
