As far as I know, both simply crude oil fractions, just like diesel and petrol.
Yeah the guy who sold it ne said he used to use paraffin in his greenhouse and was thinking of using kerosene but was told the fumes would stink.Kerosene is cheaper and pongs more than paraffin.For most uses, you'd notice little difference other than the smell.
I just grabbed a gallon of kerosene as they wanted 9 quid for a gallon paraffin.
I would have had some jizer as it's on offer for 16 quid a gallon from euro car parts but the fact they say the RRP is 54 quid made me wonder...lol
