Daughters gone to a party so ive just cooked some nice chicken fillets with fresh mushrooms...wife watching pride and prediduce dvd then were going for a nice walk around the hood.Welcome the new year in with a nice extra cold strongbow then bed. Ime really looking forward to a bit of normality next week iff ime honest now as this holiday has gone on for ever. Whats every one else doing tonight then??

I was scarred for life regarding fetching in the New year when I was a young un, Grandmother used to look after us on that evening of the year and she loved Andy Stewart singing on the telly, every bloody new year for about 10 years I suffered it... get a shiver down the spine thinking about it.

Bed, good book and snoring for midnight is my plan.

im staying in, the baby is in bed, missus has a broken foot after a fall 3 weeks ago and my father has very kindly donated a bottle of moet and chandon and a bottle of Tennessee honey JD so night in in front of the fire watching double boosts big head (keep it clean please)

But same here, off to bed; I have never given a fig about new year, my birthday is about a week away, I stopped caring about that when I was about 16.

Watched Queen and the Fireworks

Is it me or does anyone else find fireworks boring...........I dont mind a couple of minutes but after that Im wanting it to stop

Like someone else said its like frigging Afghanistan round here and especially the neighbours. Their clock must be a bit late as they started setting them off about half past twelve.

Waiting for the noise to stop, I ended up watching Carry On Camping. I love that film. I know the words Ive watched it that many times. So eventually went to bed about 2am and got up at 10 am this morning.............

I love fireworks, but I am heartily fed up of the way they have expanded to several days either side of Nov 5th and from about 9pm to 1am on New Years Eve.

watched some northern exposure and Sharpe with the mrs, drinking some rum...priced up some kit for the garage electrics (wait till weather warms up a bit..need to insulate and board out first though..said i wasnt going to plasterboard it...but given its 1/3 the price of OSB / plywood...might as well...along with it being fireproof...might be a good move with the welder to stop the timber frame igniting....

I loved Northern Exposure but haven't seen it anywhere for years!
