What's caused this??

If a fluid was poured over it why does it funnel out upwards from the wheel arch

I am guessing it's brake fluid tipped over top of wing with more running down the center.

I have been given more info now though..lol

Just spoke to my son and found some more info. Lol

The white bloom is him rubbing the wing down with wet and dry.

The guy told him it has had something go on the wing........not what though. Lol

Judging by the fact it has has all new braided brake lines I am guessing it is actually brake fluid. The guy must have wiped it off and though that was it. BUT as I now know it eats into paint unless neutralised with petrol.

My son had one of those some years back, nice car. Really quick, but his had been got at though. Pretty damn quick as standard though. There is, or was a thriving owners club for them. Have a check for exhaust leaks where the turbo bolts onto the exhaust manifold, his tended to come loose. We cured it in the end, he found some special heat resistant stud & nuts if I recall.

From memory, I think there were 2 engines fitted, a 1.8 & a 2.0 which is his?

Also whilst the paint between the two damaged areas looks good it actually flaked off in big chunks.
