What would be the best electrodes to use for gym equipment?

Looking at making some squat racks for my gym most of the box section I have will be 3mm thick so I’m thinking of using 3.2mm rods but my local store only sells 6013. Iv heard a lot of people like to run 7018 rods for more structural welding. Would I be best off with the 7018?

2.5mm 6013 rods will be fine for this. They will run any polarity including ac and in any orientation plus they are easy to use. No special treatment required like 7018

In my experience 3.2 rods would be blowing holes in the box, 2.5’s will need a bit of care
