What Would An R-Tech 201 AC/DC (Analog) Be Worth

Hi guys,

quick browse on ebay turned up no used units, so what could i get for my three year old R-Tech?

Excellent conditions, no knocks or scratches, everything works as it should.

I think it was £1300 new

As with any used modern equipment out of warranty if all is working and clean I'd expect 50% new price tag.
If it was mine I'd chuck it on eBay at 99p for a week. People go crazy bidding when they are started low.

I did a quick search on ebay using "R-Tech 201 AC/DC" and checking the sold listings box then the completed listings box and it looked as if there were a few sold for between £400 and £700, more towards the lower end. I don't know whether the machines which the search turned up are the same as yours and I only had a quick look.

Yeah but remember mate that could go pop tomorrow.
People can buy a brand new thermal arc or parweld for £1000 with warranty. £650 is not a bad return considering you've had a good few years out of it. As said above it may or may not even make that. I've seen them fetch a not bad return so I hope you get what you want for it.

I know the market has come down quite a lot in past years, wasnt much on the market for £1300 when i got mine.

I sold an ac/dc 201 analog style like yours about 3 years ago,

I bought it new, It was 18 months old when i sold it,
was with a pedal but had a longer 8m torch,

I took £700 on the ready to go package complete with regulator and earth lead.

Mine is the slightly newer version actually I think stilL analog but the readout is in the top left.

Maybe eBay is the way forward start with a reserve.
