Have not welded in a while[ATT

I used a thermal arc 175 welding set 140 amps 3.2 murex. Rods i still dont get enough practice but just running beads in flat the slag just currles off the weld had to use a chipping hammer for this

Sound any tips for virtical up and down my atempts always look a mess want to eventually progress on to pipe

looks like you need to work on arc length and feed the rod a bit smoother before moving to vertical

Cheers for that mate ill try again at some point with in the next few months see if i can work on my arc lenght

im only at it a few months,but any mistakes are exaggerated when you start going vertical.
pipe is a different story again!
