What type of clips would be best to fasten rebar rods to shuttering boards?

I used the term "shuttering" which is what it is to all intent and purpose. I am actually using nylolite boards as opposed to ply boards. I already have a few nylolite boards. Hence why I need to drill holes and fasten with clips/m6 setscrews. It is not possible to hammer nails in to this material.

The nylolite is good against wet soil, which is what I am holding back while I do a job close by.

I hope that you're talking only a very low amount of soil to hold back with no vehicular or plant traffic on it. If you're excavating on a slope or something and thinking to bowl your spoil over the boards up-slope of your trench then that would be very risky.

What's a nylolite board? I get pictures of fashion jackets and the like when I search for it, nothing even remotely constructional.

We either use towing wire or bang the metal bar in wiggle it around pull it out and then put the wooden peg in and screw to that
Failing that sometimes we make some very stiff concrete and use that to secure the shuttering several days before the poor

Is that a mistype/autoco-wrecked of "tying wire"?

you can get these clamps that "screw" onto the rebar, saw a lot being used for holding basic form work in place on the last job. Just using standard rebar, I've never seen them anywhere else, but thought it was a nifty idea. just a photo off google, to give you the idea.

A quick google see them made by "dywidag" they do a lot of rebar fixings so might give" you some ideas...

I have a modified sds well Kango attachment for hammering home pins.

aye, made one for myself a few years back, had a 1.5m earth rod to install, at the side of the house, it was rocky ground that was filled with the usual end of construction rubble... didn't fancy the hammer much, 10 minutes with an old sds bit, bit of 10mm plate cut to fit into the bit of box and the welder. job done.
at first I wasn't sure how well it would work and thought it would struggle a bit, but it flew in and I only have a diy type jack hammer, not a hilti or anything like that, just a diy box store type one. 1750 W.... been used a good few times since and borrowed plenty more too. Ending up I made another one for the local spark too... handy bit of kit.
