Ah ok. I'm the same! Cheap torches are perfectly good if sized nice but yes throw away when done.

Tbh if I was looking for your unit id probably buy one straight off the shelf. You would then need a 3/8 to dins socket and just swap the connections with ones to fit Rtech water and gas. Very simple stuff. Really. If you want a switch these can be bought easy and cheap and just swap the plug from your Rtech torch to the new switch cable.

I learnt on a 'tec' torch, water cooled, push fit taper lock ceramics (actually clear glass), I still have it, a great torch head. When I moved to my first welding job we all used an obscure water cooled boc torch that was bigger than a 26, horrible things. I now use cheap Chinese 26's when I'm out and about and a cheap star parts 20 in the garage. The 26's are always run with the stubby kit, except for the valved flex head on the engine drive. I just can't walk the cup well with a gas lense yet.

Money certainly wasn't a factor in the choice made. If I was set on the ck I would of definitely come to you mate.And I get them cheap

A good torch isn't gonna make any difference to your ability to use it IMO but a nice sized one dispite its price tag with comfy handle will. After all the biggest battle to overcome is keeping your hand steady.

Hardly a new outfit, they're a big deal on the European content AFAIK. I don't think they're supplying Weldcraft tho, IIRC thats ITW & ITW only.
They do their own style of Weldcraft style torches called TIG zone but they're just copies,not genuine.
Wrong business, EWS stands for European Welding Services. They're like Germany's version of Parweld, SWP etc..

WP18SC for all my Ally and heavy stuff and a WP20 with a massive gas lense for the bikes.

By the way I only use Binzel touches, quality's always seems good and they have excellent diagrams and parts codes for basic every touch you can think of, pretty much.

Binzel MIG stuff is some of the best, closely followed by Parweld IMO.. Unless you consider the likes of the old Tregaskiss ATTC lightning torch
I've been checking out Interlas TIG torches, the front end consumables intrigue me somewhat.. very strange shaped collet bodies, collets & back caps that are almost pyramid shaped. Have a look at the Interlas PA 121

My experience of the Binzel torches with braided hoses is to avoid them. The PVC ones are fine but I've had dozens of premature failures on all manner of torches equipped with their rubber overbraided hoses. Perishing and then leaks are the problem, the inner part of the hose just doesn't seem to last well. Many have leaked straight out of the box and I've asked them some years ago now not to send me anything except torches with PVC hose, I won't have another overbraided product in the shop until they change supply which they probably won't, I just get the "nobody else has an issue" line, standard.
