as the part is on its way fix it and see how it goes, it could be fineCheers for your help lads I ordered a new trigger yesterday found one that looked exactly the same by chance. I'm now debating whether there is any point trying to salvage this torch or whether it would be benficial to do the euro torch conversion
no its only the same power coming from the torch, just make a cover for itThe spring for the shroud has also gone unfortunately so I'm umming and arring. Also is it not dangerous having all the bear metal showing where the torch lead enters the machine.
is the full switch missing ? if its supposed to have terminals id use them, makes stripping the torch easier if you need to do any work on itAh I see. The machine does look to have been worked to within inches of its life but hopefully once I get the spring and switch it will work! Would you recommend attaching the new trigger with solder or terminals?
Cellotape.Dangerous or whatIt's a mig - those parts are going to be at 15-30v.
Don't lick them, you'll be fine.
If it makes you feel better, whack some selotape over it
Loving the cable tie on the gas hose connection! (pic 2)
