Japan is the best chance of finding something, unfortunately a lot of the manufacturers aren't seen outside of Japan. It sounds like there aren't many brands left made in the USA.It begs the question that if companies are all going down the poor quality Chinese route or letting the accountants dictate the quality and I'm including Snap Off here too as I've heard many people saying they ain't what they were, where do you buy decent tools at a fair price now or in the future?
We'll be back to flint snapping soon
Try "Craigslist".For our American friends, what free add sites are good over there for a Wilton Vice?
If I split it in half between 2 suitcases it may just work. Say a 5 inch one. We will be driving 2000 miles through 11 states.
What would be a realistic price for a used Wilton over there?

You admit that you've entered a WalMart ? By your own free will ?I found stuff in Florida to be very expensive. Even in big Walmarts well away from the tourist spots.
Food is far more expensive than the UK. Most stuff in the USA is also Chinese so they pay the same as we do for most things.
