I'm remaking some exhaust headers for the TZR using mild steel. The headers fit between the cylinders and the after market expansion chambers. The spannies are held on the headers with long hooked springs.
Now, last time (bodged, flux core, etc) I got some thin bar from eBay that might have been "bright steel" and used that to make the loops on the headers that the springs hook onto. This was really brittle and I strongly suspect completely the wrong material to use.
Can anybody give me some pointers as to what "words" to use when shopping for these item in my upcoming fabrication please?
