Hey everyone!
It's been ages since I was on here, but I have been quitely working away at my Citroen 2cv van (Don't laugh!)
It's coming along slowly, but can anyone offer some advice about the wheel arches?
They've been patched up at some point previously, and not very prettily, and they are generally rather beaten up and bent. And now poking around they are suprisingly rotten, as the metal is only 0.8mm thick any rust quickly becomes a large hole
I could just carry on patching up the holes and accept it's going to look ugly, I could try repairing the holes so the new metal is flush with the old, and make it look good as new, but that seems like an awful lot of work/time. And I wondered about getting some whole new panels made up, as I have a 3 square meter sheet of metal lying around in the shed . But getting someone else to press the ripples is dreadfully expensive, as they would have to make formers etc.
What should I do?
