i would imagine it would be a lacquer that is cured using ultra violet light for speed of productionThere is a proper food safe lacquer that's applied to the inside of fizzy pop cans, I will find out when I'm next at the office and let you know. It's just normal 1k air dry varnish

to much drinking time wasted on on what to coat it with, just use a glass and stick pencils in the ali mug for the workshop![]()

Maybe but the one ive seen at UK's biggest fizzy pop can factory use a warm air oven. Believe it or not
the varnish is made by PPG. It's needed as fizzy pop (and beer) is highly acidic and eats the Ali if not coated.
