Avoid ply from wickes. Not all ply is made equally.

I was desperate, it had a small dousing of rain and immediately started delaminating.

I generally use wbp from magnet. £30 a sheet of 18mm with an account.

Thickness of ply depends on the rafter spacing. The closer the rafters the thinner the ply in theory. Iv'e always used 18mm whatever the rafter spacing though. Typically i use 400mm rafter centres with 18mm osb on top. Plywood is more expensive and seeing as the covering keeps the weather out I can't see any reason to use ply instead? But if you've already got it then just use it!

I decided to save the 18 mm plywood for the surface of the floating floor. I felt it would be better put to use in something that would be taking a fair amount of weight.

I opted for 12mm in the end. Considering its unnecessary to walk on it for reasons of construction and milder winters I figured the slightly thinner board would suffice.

Thanks for the advice bad glue I guess. De laminating shouldn't occur with WBP from a light drop of rain.

I use OSB3 norboard T+G in the 8' x 2' size as it is easy to handle on your own and the floating joins are strong.
