I got mine from guy that sells paint genuine creosote and other stuff he gives me a bit extra discount as I've bought a fair bit off him

Brake cleaner in a pressure pot. I buy it in a box of four 5L bottles.

Doesn't brake cleaner have some even more dodgy stuff in it than thinners ? Especially if your welding the part after cleaning ?

White spirit in a spray bottle is good for softening ground in rubbish as its slower evaporating.

I dont know what you guys are paying for brake cleaner but if you sit outside eurocarparts playing a guitar for a morning they will take pity on you and eventually let you have 30lts of Bremtec brake cleaner for £50 all in. Cheap thinners around here is about £20. Both taste ok with a mixer

I bought Polyguard brake cleaner yesterday £33.55 for 4x5L which comes to roughly the same(all bar 32p) when factored up and I think the 5l are a more manageable package.

Thinners,brake cleaner,contact cleaner, and acytone after that itl just be autoglym engine and machine cleaner as I always hav it around

I got mineral spirits/white spirit, denatured alcohol, acetone, paint thinner and some unknown solvent from the local store in a 4 liter jug.

Cheers mrfuzzy, yeah chlorine gas will definately make you quite unwell horizontal in fact.
Not seen any reason to change from thinners as its shifted everything I've asked of it.
But I wouldn't advise anyone to use it in a confined space, can make you quite light headed.

Yes light headed but heavy bumbed and wabbly footed
