at least that side is easy to work on to put a temporary patch so it could be refloated, provided the other side isn't wrecked with lying on the sea bed?

A patch !! Wow, I would never have guessed that was even possible ! Marine salvage is obviously some industry ! I was wondering if there could be problems with the main engine breaking away from it's mountings at that degree of list ?

Last news I saw they stated they were going to break the vessel on site due to the logistics of trying to salvage as a whole.

By what they were saying on the 1 o'clock news it sounded like the navigation computer was over ridden and that they were sailing on a different cause to that set by the company. Make me wonder if the insurance cover will be affected.

by the look of the damage, the rocks must have been almost visible above water as the damage is up to the waterline.

Well the Captain was apparently ****** up in the bar at the time so I doubt there were any lookouts on duty !!
This is the problem with these auto pilot systems, if people get complacent disaster isn't far away.
