Hello everyone.
I started practising welding about a month ago and now i did my first welding on my car...im welding with Esab LKA 180 and im having a little trouble welding with it.
I know that the welds look a little high and rough but eventualy i got good penetration and the piece is firmly attached to the car.
The problem why the welds turned out so high is that i couldnt get a constant weld going...sometimes it penetrated too much ,but sometimes too little. So i thought that maybe you guys could give me a few tips on how to get a constant arc going...actually i tried welding with the thin metal tehnicue (spotweld on spotweld) and then i got nice penetration and it looked great...maybe i should do that in those little corners.
But with the floorplate that i spot welded in place, i think i should do a constant weld on that because individual beads would take a lot of time.
Comment and share thoughts please!
