what setup for Tig and back purge on one bottle?

Not sure if this is right place to post, I want to have my tig gas and back purge gas running off same bottle, curious of how you guys have it set up. In work we have a separate bottle , regulator and flow meter for each, I cant afford this setup in my garage. Any help welcome??

Y piece with two flowmeters.

Mines the same as chevys, apart form the Harris gas saver I fitted, a while back Stops the slight over pressure you get on startup. Those little belches of Argon add up££.

I find that by adjusting your regulator so that the LPM guage is only very slightly higher than what you run the flowmeter at then that initial gush of argon is barely higher than the actual flow rate.

A little tip for the yorkshire men out there without the Harris gas savers

I had a dual reg setup with a flowmeter out of each side, one for the machine and one for the purge line but now I have changed to the same setup as Garys

29quid spring to mind, you save more if you do a lot of tacking up. It basically changes a single stage reg to double, but better. Savings, I've never worked it out but around 30%

No mate I already had a good stock of flowmeters so just bought the reg and the Y piece, just a thought but I will mention it, the blue Y piece is the one you want as the red is LH thread

Im ordering my new CK 17 welding torch tomoz cant use that thing r tech have supplied, just not what im used too, the question is , is it worth getting the flex head?? im deffo getting the flex cable that's the big draw to CK torches.

Yes, get the flex head, all my torches are,
Think of all those awkward welds where you need a particular torch position, with a rigid its not always possible due to other obstuctions nearby or the fact that your hand doesn't like being at an awkward angle,
be gentle on the flexhead though and it'll last the life of the torch
