Can anyone reccomend an approriate spec of power cable for my Oxford Oil cooled welder? Its 180amp max output. I plan to wire it to my 3 phase 32amp supply as others suggested in a previous thread so need three cores (2 phases and earth) and woudl ideally like a 12 metre cable length (15 or even 20 would be better) so dont know how this affects the spec. I keep short Butyl leads on the welders , just long enough to reach the plugs and use SY extension cables. Bob
So this is going to seem like a stupid question, but is this plug ok for 415v? It says rated to 400v. I assume it is fine but wanted to check! http://www.discount-electrical.co.u...-plug-with-screw-terminals-3p-e-ip44-32a-400v The cable here is the cheapest I can find so was going to get the plug from the same place: http://www.discount-electrical.co.u...dent-flexible-cable-4-0mm---priced-per-metre-
