I liked the bit about the one guy who does the coachlining - he's the only person in the business who can do this and, if you're in Dubai and want a line added to your RR, then he gets flown out to do that.

The attention to detail is astonishing but it does come across that this detail is wasted on people who have more money than taste.

I agree @Parm , but I'd also have to agree they've become a little unattractive.

Though this begs the question, did people of our age now, back in the 60's/70's think the same of the then current offerings

It's definitely a thing. Guy I worked for, 30 years ago, was a salesman. He bought a used Porsche 928 for around £12k IIRC, but got abuse from his customers. He ended up parking it several streets away and walking to the appointments.
The fact that it cost the same as a new Ford Escort at the time was lost on most.

heres a tip ,,, try pricing a RR they are cheaper these days than a snap on tool box ,,, or a Hyundai suv ... all you actually need is a pair of hands , and half a brain .
