What kind of bearings are these

Can they just be greased and put back together. It's a cooling fan for a freezer freezer was not getting cold new fan all is good just greased this one and it is running on again but what's the life span on this type of bearing

oilite bushes gerneraly just a bit of oil on them every couple of years the fan on my dehumidifier has them ive had it 10 years . oiled them 3 times

As said, oilite bush, Give them a soak in oil for a while before fitting, that one in the pic looks like a spherical self aligning type.

Yes, its a sintered bronze bearing, they last a long time, best used with oil rather than grease. The bronze is porous so can soak up the oil. If the fit is made right they will last longer than ballraces.

Better than just soaking, force oil in. Place the bush on your thumb, fill it with oil and place the other thumb over it and push down to "pressurise it" until the oil oozes out through the oilite pores. Wipe off the surplus and you have a fully loaded bush.

Depends on its age they used to be bronze, but they haven't been for quite a while, a lot now are ball bearing (without much grease in them). No harm in lubeing them up to try first but they don't need much wear for the rotor to lock up when hot. I have an older dehumidifier that I've done this to several times and that keeps going, but have had more failures with the fresher motors unfortunately. Try it nothing to loose except a bit of time.

Shouldn't the shaft be revolving in the bush though rather than (looking at the markings anyway) the bush spinning in the soft casing?!

Thought it looked familiar, last ones I bought we're 16W and they were 15 quid each + vat. Easy enough to get, i usually kept a couple handy, to change out, takes minutes to change.
As above a few drops of light oil will keep them going. Just be careful if they're above food, in case any drips down.....

I had a couple of spare motors too I just swapped the motor out but wanted to get this one going again

i replace the fans and motors in the warm air units in classrooms at a school .they have never been touched in 47 years of service.now and then a few pack in and I just replace them . they just sieze up cook the windings and pop its cheaper to just replace when needed as there is about 100 of them
