I've got a lovely white glass doored wall cabinet, it came from a doctors' surgery. It's crying out for a good medical specimen in a jar or a bit of alarming taxidermy, currently it has a phrenology head in it.

I visited a medical museum a good few years ago. They had specimens of everything in jars and cabinets. I imagine it could be quite popular with a certain type of person.

The grammar school I went to in the 70's was probably built in Victorian times and the biology lab had glass fronted cabinets full of all sorts of specimins including a human brain and a foetus.
