What is it with Courier firms?

I've wondered that - I once had an exhaust delivered there and was told they shouldn't have accepted it as it was over a metre long. So why did the seller give me that option?

I've seen other stuf with click & collect as a possible option and thought to myself "yeah right - I'd get an email in about a week saying it couldn't be delivered to Argos and wanting an alternative or giving me a refund"

Lack of brain cells. I am sure the people selling these things must have visited an Argos before. I certainly have. I can't recall seeing anyone staggering out with an engine under their arm

its because argos sells large furniture like beds and wardrobes they think argos will take in large deliverys or over sized items

what they dont realize its warehouse deliverys for those items

hence why so many send them back as they cant be bothered building them up as its a nice big jigsaw to build always looks nice in the brochure

Update on my delivery. The courier arrived this morning, pulled a 6m package out the truck that looks like the steel I ordered. We put it on my drive and while I'm holding it I can feel round tube and I ordered square. I check the address label (he obviously didn't) and it's not for me! My delivery's not on the lorry again! Beggers belief! So they've screwed it up three days in a row. Unbelievable.

I will look it up tomorrow given time. It is one of the safeguards that makes a stolen card fairly useless for online orders.

I haven't had chance to unearth my old contracts for card terminals, which is where I am convinced I saw the term. Can't find a reference to it online currently. Maybe it is just advisory now? Shame if so as that makes a lost or stolen card as good as cash.

That's odd, CPC usually give Amazon a good run for their money for excessive over packing.

Royal Mail aren’t much better. Ulster aviation society sent me a prop nut to copy for my radial, they managed to try to deliver it to completely the wrong address. Then argued with me it had been in fact attempted to my address. Not likely, I was in all day and if I hadn’t heard them the dogs certainly would have.
It was in a sorting office about 10 miles away, but as they hadn’t left me a something for you card I couldn’t collect, so it’s now been sent back to Ulster so they can post it to me again
