Thats fancy; I used to do lots of rear axle work, this is one of my 'gauges' I have them for most of the 'usual suspect' diffs. I found that a pile of gauge (Joey) blocks were the quickest way to get an accurate measurement.

The other bit of 'school of coarse engineering' kit was my carrier spreader. Either directly hooked into the lug holes or with a simple pair of adapter plates.

Like the carrier spreader. Need to do my dolly sprint axle at some point. That needs spreading.
