Today I broke .............. WIND

there is no grease nipples .there all oilers on a myford. for the saddle leadscrew bearings countershaft and main bearings etchttps://www.myford.co.uk/acatalog/Oils.html

Oilers were originally fitted & you had to hold a special oil can tight onto them & pump the oil in. The oil can is expensive & always leaks.

Most people fit 2BA grease nipples, modify a standard lever grease gun to hold oil & use if to oil the bearings.

I think it would be more appropriate to call them "lubrication points" to avoid confusion.

From what I've seen grease rarely makes an appearance in machine tool save for the motors..and the vertical head on my Elliott.

Anyway...in the spirit of the thread...although not broken I did manage to set one of my fence posts 70mm too high. I could come up with all sorts of excuses but in reality it's probably just because I'm a tit.

I'll nip the top off it later.

Today I broke a sweat. That however is not uncommon as I am a fat barsteward

I generally don't mind being a fat barsteward but this recent humidity has been killing me, drank 4 litres of water yesterday and sweat it all back out, didn't pee all day!

Whatever works for you but with concrete it's easier to put them in right in the first place.

Oddly, I remembered I had a small packet of Myford oilers so new one fitted and all good now.
